Ziegler CAT in Columbus, MN has an opening for a Rental Diesel Technician to service Ziegler-owned rental equipment and non-CAT rentals. Hours are 6:30am–3pm, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $27.00–$45.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field is required or a High school diploma/GED with 2 years of related experience.
• 2+ years of relevant diesel engine/equipment repair experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of engines, hydraulics, driveline, electrical/electronics, diesel exhaust and fuel systems.
• Ability to write and communicate effectively with supervisors, customers and team.
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and use diagnostic systems.
• Own mechanic tool set.
• This role is safety sensitive and requires pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment including skid steers, compact wheel loaders, mini excavators, aerial lifts, tele-handlers and other light/medium construction equipment.
• Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work safely at all times following company policies and standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians and assist with troubleshooting repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and product knowledge.
