Job summary

Ziegler CAT in Dayton, MN is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to service a range of compact construction equipment. The role offers full-time hours: Tue-Fri 7:30am-5pm and Saturdays 8-noon, with a competitive pay range and full benefits.

You will diagnose and repair machinery such as skid steers, wheel loaders, mini excavators, and related systems, document work orders, work safely, and collaborate with other technicians.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or high school diploma/GED with 2 years of shop mechanic experience.
• 2+ years of diesel engine/equipment repair experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of engines, hydraulics, driveline, electrical/electronics, diesel exhaust and fuel systems.
• Experience with Caterpillar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment including skid steers, compact wheel loaders, mini excavators, aerial lifts, tele-handlers, CUVs, among other light and medium construction equipment.
• Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians on troubleshooting repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and product knowledge.
