Job summary

Aggreko, LLC is seeking a Technician 3 for our Chicago service center. Based at the Chicago facility, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, power, and compressor equipment, in shop or on customer sites as needed.

You will troubleshoot equipment failures, work independently or with teammates, and may travel to customer locations. This role requires hands-on experience with large, industrial equipment and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work history.
• 5+ years of experience working on Commercial HVAC/Power/Compressors, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of HVAC/Power/Compressors equipment of various sizes.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and possibly customer locations, and handle the repairs.
• You will either be on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop.
• Travel may be required for field work or service calls.

What you’ll do:

You’ll be based out of our Chicago -Illi, service center and can expect to work in the Central Repair Shop/Field. You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of HVAC/Power/Compressors equipment of various sizes.
