Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Technician 2 Power in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing power generation equipment, HVAC systems, and related gear at the Santa Fe Springs service center and on customer sites.

You will troubleshoot issues, read schematics, and perform preventive maintenance as part of a team or solo field work. The position includes full-time hours with bonuses and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ years of experience on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience reading schematics and calculating tonnage or kW requirements.
• May require TWIC card or DOT medical card per customer needs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 60-75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Based at the Santa Fe Springs, CA service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment at shop or customer sites and perform repairs.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 2 Power based in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Santa Fe Springs, CA. service center.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED

• 6+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
