Job summary

Aggreko in Santa Fe Springs, CA, is seeking a Technician 1 Temp Control to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, HVAC equipment, and related systems at the service center and on customer sites. You will troubleshoot equipment, work solo or with others, and travel to customer locations as needed; the role offers full-time hours, overtime potential, and ongoing training.

• May need to obtain TWIC card or valid DOT medical card per customer requirements.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 60–75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Based at the Santa Fe Springs service center, perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution, HVAC equipment and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both at the shop and on customer sites; perform repairs as needed.
• Work solo or with teammates to set up and operate equipment at customer locations.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Santa Fe Springs, CA. service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 5+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
