Job summary

Aggreko in Santa Fe Springs, CA is looking for a Technician 1 Temp Control to maintain power generators, diesel engines, HVAC equipment and oil-free air systems. Based at the Santa Fe Springs service center, you may also service customer sites.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in on-site setup with a team or solo. The role includes training, full-time hours, and overtime opportunities, with a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED.
• 5+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driverfs license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

What You’ll Do

• You’ll be based out of our Santa Fe Springs, CA. service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.

You Are

• High School diploma/GED

Other Essential Job Requirements

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
