Job summary

Midwest Prototyping, A Prototek Company, is seeking an AM Technician for weekend coverage to support daily production and operate additive equipment. You will deliver high-quality parts across industries, joining a fast-paced digital manufacturing team.

The role involves running SLA/DLP, SLS/MJF, and FDM processes, performing post-processing, calibrations, and routine maintenance to ensure peak equipment performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical degree preferred.
• 1+ year experience in additive manufacturing.
• Ability to read prints or 3D files.
• Comfortable working hands-on in production.

Responsibilities

• Execute build startups, machine setups, and material handling.
• Support SLA/DLP, SLS/MJF, and FDM printing operations.
• Powder handling, vat swaps, and machine calibrations.
• Post-processing and finishing operations; visual inspections for quality.
• Maintain equipment and support preventative maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma required; technical degree preferred
• 1+ year experience in additive manufacturing (preferred) Basic understanding of 3D printing technologies and materials Ability to read prints or 3D files Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment
