Job summary

DATTCO in Cranston, RI is seeking a full-time Diesel Technician for our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles and complete repair orders.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or trade school, driver’s license with CDL eligibility, and ASE certifications preferred. We offer medical and dental insurance, life and 401k, paid training, uniform program, and paid time off. Overtime available.

• Experience in automotive, heavy-duty, or bus repair is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work.
• Completes repair orders and parts usage documentation.
• Makes road calls.
• Maintains proper hand tools and follows supervisor instructions.

DATTCO currently has a full-time Diesel Technician opening at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in Cranston, RI.

• Compensation of $25.00-40.00/hour

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
• Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage
• Makes road calls
• Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent
• Training or experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair
• Driver’s license
• Hold, or be eligible to, hold a CDL license
• Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills
• Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks
