Job summary

DATTCO, INC is seeking a full-time Technician in our School Bus Fleet Maintenance department in Waterbury, CT. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of school buses, with a requirement for a high school diploma or trade training and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school (or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum of one year experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Complete required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Make road calls.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.
