Job summary

DATTCO's Diesel Technician position at our Cranston, RI location is a full-time role offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair diesel vehicles, complete repair orders, and make road calls, while maintaining tools and following supervisor directions. CDL and ASE certifications are encouraged and the company supports advancement from within.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent.
• Training or experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Driver's license.
• Hold, or be eligible to, hold a CDL license.
• Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications.
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Makes road calls.
• Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.

DATTCO currently has a full-time Diesel Technician opening at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in Cranston, RI.
