Job summary

Vasion is seeking a Technical Writer to join the Technical Content team within Technical Services. You will craft and maintain product documentation for the Intelligent Print Automation platform and work with Product and Product Marketing to deliver online docs and learning resources for customers configuring Vasion products.

This role requires hands-on understanding of product features, clear customer-focused communication, and the ability to convey complex information precisely.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as a tech writer in a software development environment.
• Associate Degree in a technical field or technical writing.
• Understands client-server models, SaaS, and standard network protocols.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to quickly understand and unpack complex technical concepts.
• Experience with MadCap Flare, MadCap Capture, and MadCap Central (preferred).
• Familiar with Jira/Confluence and Intercom (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior writers and product managers to drive documentation planning for GTM.
• Identify documentation gaps with Support and Technical Services teams and ensure accuracy.
• Produce admin-level end-user documentation for SaaS releases and notes.
• Perform topic-based authoring and single-source publishing using the CMS.
• Apply structured authoring using concept, task, and reference topics.
• Add metadata tags to topics to support findability and IA goals.
• Create customer-facing release notes with product managers and developers.
• Leverage in-software help (Intercom) to deliver contextual guidance.
• Review and update content with SMEs and senior writers.
• Follow evolving design and style guides for technical terminology.
