Job summary

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company seeks a Technical Writer in Houston, TX to create and maintain manuals and online help guides for our software products. You will test new features, validate documentation, and propose usability and content improvements based on hands-on testing.

You’ll also maintain in-app help content and coordinate with SMEs to gather requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, no travel, strong editing skills, and a detail-oriented, deadline-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong spelling, proofreading, grammar, and editing skills.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and organized.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed manuals and online help guides for our software products.
• Hands-on product testing of new features and updates to ensure documentation accuracy.
• Identify and suggest usability and documentation improvements based on testing.
• Maintain in-app help content—writing, updating, and testing help messages for reliability and clarity.
