Heat Transfer Research, Inc. (HTRI) seeks a Technical Editor to create, manage, and revise software documentation and assist with supporting images. The role offers a hybrid schedule with some days at our Navasota, Texas headquarters.

Responsibilities include editing and formatting documents, ensuring consistency with the HTRI style guide, and developing sessions on writing techniques for staff across engineering and research teams.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in English, Technical Writing, or Journalism OR BA/BS in a STEM field with a minor in Technical Writing
• Mastery of Microsoft Office 365 products used by HTRI; experience with topic-based authoring and publishing for software documentation (e.g., MadCap Flare)
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication and presenting abilities (both oral and written)
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• 1-3 years of similar work experience

Responsabilités

• Edit and compile software documentation projects; ensure well-constructed online help projects across software components.
• Edit and format documents, including online and hard copy, and ensure consistency with the HTRI style guide.
• Format technical presentations and posters for global audiences.
• Develop and present sessions on writing techniques and related tools for staff.
