Job summary

InRule is seeking a Technical Writer to co-own product documentation and manage our public docs site. You will plan, write, and release clear documentation for multiple audiences, translating engineers’ and PMs’ ideas into accessible content.

You’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering, identify gaps, and drive improvements that enhance user journeys and overall product messaging. Flexible, self-directed, and impact-driven role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably SaaS or B2B software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Technical Writing, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience writing for multiple audiences including technical and non-technical users.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear content.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain technical documentation across InRule’s products.
• Write release notes communicating new features, changes, and fixes.
• Translate complex concepts for business users, developers, and internal teams.
• Maintain and improve the docs site structure, organization, and usability.
• Identify gaps and independently plan and prioritize documentation work.
• Own projects end-to-end and measure impact of documentation initiatives.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to keep docs up-to-date.
• Improve accessibility of documentation for internal and external users.
