Job summary

Ditch Witch, as part of The Toro Company, in Perry, Oklahoma, seeks a technical writer to create instructional manuals and setup instructions for our products. You will translate customer needs into clear documentation, edit with input from engineering and service teams, and manage multiple projects to meet schedules at our Perry, OK plant.

Required: a bachelor’s degree inScientific and Technical Communications or English with 0–3+ years of documentation experience; familiarity with XML and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in scientific/technical communications or related field.
• 0–3+ years' experience in instructional documentation.
• Experience with XML; Arbortext Editor or similar desirable.
• Experience with technical illustration and basic CAD/graphics tools desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate instructional documentation including operators manuals, service instructions, and parts manuals.
• Define and translate customer requirements into clear concise documentation.
• Apply metadata to graphics for searching and reuse.
• Coordinate with engineering, testing, legal, and service teams for reviews and updates.
• Manage multiple projects to meet production schedules.
• Maintain adherence to the Ditch Witch Style Guide and standards.
