Job summary

Ditch Witch, part of The Toro Company, seeks a Product Safety Engineer-Construction Division in Perry, OK to ensure products meet safety and regulatory standards. The role collaborates with engineering, product evaluation, and legal teams to drive compliance and correct documentation across markets.

Responsibilities include interpreting standards, coordinating reviews, and obtaining certifications while working under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, or Agricultural Engineering program or closely related field.
• Engineer III – 5+ years of relevant experience in product safety or testing.
• Engineer IV – 7+ years of relevant experience in product safety or testing.
• Engineer V – 10+ years of relevant experience in product safety or testing.
• Experience with international standards and regulatory requirements for earthmoving, construction, or similar products.
• Experience in product safety and regulatory compliance and standards promulgation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and interpret U.S. and international product safety and regulatory standards applicable to divisional products.
• Provide safety and regulatory guidance to product development teams and coordinate safety reviews.
• Lead action plans to resolve safety and regulatory issues promptly.
• Coordinate with third-party certification bodies or consultants to obtain certifications.
• Review operator manuals, on-product markings, and marketing materials for compliance.
