Job summary

You will translate complex hardware assemblies into clear documentation, support training programs, and ensure standards compliance with ISO 9001, SEMI, and ANSI Z136 while collaborating with manufacturing and design teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical writing in the capital equipment industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience documenting complex systems across mechanical, optical, electrical, and software disciplines.
• Able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, universally accessible documentation.
• Experience developing and delivering technical training programs.
• Strong attention to detail, version control discipline, and procedural accuracy.
• Excellent written communication and visual presentation skills.
• Proactive communication with engineering and NPI SMEs.
• Experience using PLM systems (Arena) for document control.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and AI productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update assembly, alignment, calibration, and test procedures for laser-based semiconductor tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, optical, and manufacturing teams to capture accurate process details.
• Produce illustrated work instructions and calibration/test guides using CAD drawings and photos.
• Create standardized guides, SOPs, and onboarding templates for new hires.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, SEMI, and laser safety standards (ANSI Z136).
• Partner with operators, engineers, and designers to drive Continuous Improvement in documentation.
