Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Technical Writer Level 2 to support the development, maintenance, and delivery of technical documentation for complex software and systems engineering programs.

The role emphasizes translating technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documents for both technical and non-technical audiences, with collaboration across engineering and operations teams. Join a team that values thorough, accurate documentation and professional growth.

Qualifications

Six (6) years of experience as a Technical Writer on programs or contracts of similar scope.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; four (4) additional years may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation for software engineering, systems operations, testing, and end-user activities.
Develop installation guides, configuration procedures, implementation guides, user manuals, and how-to documentation.
Create and maintain software code documentation, data flow diagrams, field definitions, and system process documentation.
Collaborate with engineers, developers, system administrators, and subject matter experts to translate information into clear docs.
Support configuration management activities and knowledge management programs.
Develop training materials and technical training content to support users.
