Job summary

Dexis is seeking a Technical Writer II to support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program in Aberdeen, Maryland. The role covers data collection, technical writing, publishing, and range scheduling to support Army RDT&E activities. Travel within CONUS/OCONUS may be required, and a Secret clearance is often needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with required years of technical writing in Army RDT&E programs.
• Alternative pathways include an Associate’s degree with five years of experience or ten years of relevant writing experience.
• Candidates must be proficient in English and able to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review technical writing projects prepared by others.
• Apply regulations, policies, and standards for government publications.
• Develop, write, and edit reports, manuals, and related technical publications.
• Collaborate on materials illustrating technical procedures and equipment.
• Coordinate layout, graphics, and multimedia elements for publications.
• Assist in speeches, articles, and public releases, and maintain records.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or another scientific discipline + 3 years of technical writing experience (Army RDT&E)

Associate’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or another scientific discipline + 5 years (Army RDT&E)

10 years of technical writing experience (Army RDT&E)
