Job summary

Dexis is seeking an Editorial Technician I to support a large Army test and evaluation program, primarily onsite in Aberdeen, Maryland. The role includes data collection, technical writing, and editorial review with travel to CONUS/OCONUS as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years editing/technical writing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Edit documents for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and format.
• Revise for clarity and logical flow while preserving meaning.
• Determine publication format and plan layout as needed.
• Check factual accuracy against sources and graphics.
• Verify statements, figures, and terms with reference materials.
• Ensure consistency between text and illustrations or tables.
• Familiarize with technical terminology and multimedia formats.
• Insert web links, photos, graphics, and videos as required.
• Proofread final copy and ensure changes are incorporated.
• Protect passwords and access to office files and programs.
