Job summary

Dexis is seeking an Editorial Technician IV to support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program. The role involves data collection, technical writing, and editorial review across automotive, combat, electronic, and ordnance materiel.

Primary on-site work in Aberdeen, MD with CONUS/OCONUS travel as needed. The editor applies extensive publishing knowledge, resolves complex issues, and provides leadership within the editorial function.

Qualifications

• Must have five (5) years of leadership experience.
• Must be proficient in the advanced functionality and tools of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Review completed projects to ensure adequate coverage of topics and compliance with policy.
• Demonstrate familiarity with technical terminology, document formats, and multimedia formats.
• Convert photo and graphic file formats and insert web links, photos, graphics, and video files.
• Interpret text to ensure consistency within documents.
• Apply knowledge of regulations and policies affecting government publications and publishing practices.
• Locate sources to verify factual information.
• Identify and correct discrepancies between text and charts or graphics.
• Restructure sentences for clarity without altering meaning.
• Contact authors to resolve inconsistencies in factual information.
• Provide technical assistance on publications that differ in manner and style of presentation.
• Ensure documents are error-free before submission.
