Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies, seeks a Technical Writer to support the JITTC-Nellis, NV team. The writer collects and transforms technical information into formal documentation for government and contractor personnel, ensuring clear, accurate, and fully traceable outputs.

You will capture procedures, configurations, workflows, system behaviors, and troubleshooting steps across engineering, cyber, networking, A/V, and simulations, delivering templates and revisions that

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience producing technical documentation in a structured environment.
• Ability to write system engineering reports, manuals, and test documentation.
• Experience defining CM processes (check-out/check-in, build, release).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Windows, and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Data Collection: gather accurate technical information from engineers and operators.
• Document Development: create, update, and maintain installation guides, procedures, and workflows.
• Quality Control: perform first-line reviews for accuracy and formatting; coordinate with SMEs.
• Stakeholder Coordination: work with government/contractor teams to meet documentation standards.
