Job summary

CACI is seeking a Technical Writer to join our Fort Meade, MD team, focusing on creating and maintaining technical docs for DoD electronics and systems. You will work with engineers to produce user guides, SOPs, and training materials, ensuring technical accuracy and clear communication across the organization.

Requirements include TS/SCI with Polygraph and relevant TW experience; degree levels range from Associates to Master’s with corresponding experience substitutions.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Associates degree in a technical discipline; two years TW experience may be substituted.
• Two years of experience as a TW on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; four years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Six years of TW experience on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience, reducing required TW experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications.
• Understand basic concepts and write technical copy for various types of documents.
• Gather technical information and prepare written text.
• Maintain a current internal documentation library.
• Work with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials.
• Produce defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, training manuals, and other documentation for end-users.
