This role owns the documentation that helps software users set up, integrate, and successfully adopt a product. You will combine clear technical writing with hands-on validation, use support trends to improve content, and keep guidance accurate as features evolve and older functionality is retired.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain setup guides, integration instructions, and API reference documentation.
• Own onboarding content that helps new customers reach an initial successful outcome quickly.
• Identify recurring support questions, turn them into useful documentation, and assess whether the change reduces those issues.
• Test published instructions yourself using a clean account or equivalent environment.
• Keep documentation aligned with product changes, including updates related to deprecations.
• Raise usability concerns when a feature is difficult to explain clearly or follow reliably.

Requirements

• At least three years writing technical documentation for a software product.
• Ability to read code and API specifications well enough to document behaviour accurately.
• Clear, direct writing with strong attention to reader comprehension.
• Experience with docs-as-code practices and version-control workflows.
• Willingness to challenge confusing product experiences and advocate for clarity.

Nice to have

• Experience documenting APIs and SDKs.
• Background in developer relations or technical support.
• Familiarity with information architecture for large documentation collections.
