Job summary

Shift4 is redefining commerce by simplifying payments ecosystems. The Knowledge Management team is seeking a Technical Writer I to craft learning content for employees, sales partners, and product end users. You will write, review, and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across materials.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, address content gaps, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of templates, processes, and user experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-4+ years of experience in technical writing, content development, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Write, review edit and maintain technical and process documentation following Shift4’s guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to address content gaps and incorporate user feedback for continuous improvement.
• Identify and address documentation gaps based on user feedback, support insights and stakeholder input.
• Produce documentation that is clear, concise, and tailored to the intended audience.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve documentation processes.

• Maintain consistent formatting, tagging, and structure across knowledge content.

As part of the Shift4 Transformation division, our Knowledge Management team creates content to enable learning and world-class performance for our employees, sales partners and product end users. • Strong research and information-gathering skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with documentation tools and content management systems is a plus.
• Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud or Zendesk preferred but not required.
• Understanding of the Point of Sale and Payments industry is a plus.
• Candidates may be required to submit writing samples as part of the interview process.
