Job summary

SGS Consulting in Sacramento, CA is seeking a detail-oriented customer service specialist to manage the end-to-end service cycle for our waste management clients. You will coordinate with internal teams and communicate with customers to ensure a seamless experience.

You will also create WIPs in compliance with RCRA and DOT, manage approvals with internal teams and TSDFs, and generate jobs and work orders to support operations and billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; additional certifications or technical training preferred.
• Experience in customer service, technical support, or waste management preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (RCRA & DOT) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers within assigned branch territories.
• Coordinate all aspects of the customer service cycle across internal teams for a seamless experience.
• Communicate service requests and technical issues with internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Analyze, plan, and facilitate resolutions for customer service and technical challenges.
• Create new Waste Information Profiles (WIPs) in compliance with RCRA & DOT regulations.
• Manage waste approval processes with internal teams and third-party TSDFs for compliant solutions.
• Generate jobs and detailed work orders to support accurate execution of services by operations teams.
• Oversee post-shipment processes, verify WIPs and approvals, and resolve discrepancies affecting TSDF acceptance and invoicing.
• Collaborate with team members on incoming customer requests, including new service quotes and billing support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Customer Excellence Manager.
