Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking a Technical Trainer responsible for developing and delivering training on installation, programming, safety, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of equipment and machinery.

The role collaborates with technicians to ensure safe, customer-satisfactory work and may involve creating outlines, handouts, and lab exercises. The position requires training program development, certification maintenance, and exam administration, with opportunities to award completion certificates

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant sales experience or equivalent industry experience.
• Knowledge of business systems such as BMS and Lotus Notes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Confer with management and staff or customer representatives to determine technical training needs.
• Participate in training to obtain and maintain certifications from OEMs and suppliers as needed to train others.
• Prepare training materials including outlines, text, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, and lab exercises.
• Demonstrate procedures being taught, such as programming and repairs.
• Observe trainees in the laboratory and answer trainees' questions.
• Administer written and practical exams and write performance reports evaluating trainees.
• Monitor the training budget to ensure costs stay within allocated funds.
• Award Certificates of Completion to students meeting class requirements.
