Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. seeks a Technical Trainer to deliver comprehensive training to service technicians and customers, including safety and product maintenance instruction.

The role requires hands-on classroom delivery, development of training materials, and close alignment with company values. Responsibilities include MSHA safety training, OSHA compliance support, and frequent travel to branch locations and technical schools to ensure consistent on-site attendance and knowledge transfer

Qualifications

• Five or more years of heavy equipment repair experience.
• Proficient knowledge of engines, powertrains, hydraulics, electrical, and braking systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and various web-based applications.
• Ability to frequently travel to other branches, technical schools, and events.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal.
• Acts as product expert to provide training to service technicians and customers on how to properly repair and maintain the equipment, including Wirtgen products and all other equipment lines.
• Provides product and manufacturer training.
• Develops and delivers hands-on training in a classroom setting.
• Develops training materials and training practices that support productive adult learning.
• Delivers aerial platform safety training for rental and service personnel.
• Provides MSHA Safety Training for service personnel, sales personnel, and Product Support Sales Reps.
• Supplies OSHA Certified safety training for Customers as requested.
• Travels 70% or more to each branch to provide training.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance.
