Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Technical Trainer to deliver hands-on training across manufacturing operations, focusing on material handling equipment, crane operations, and MEWP safety. You will develop curriculum, certify programs, and ensure OSHA compliance while supporting onboarding and ongoing skills development.

The role requires collaboration with EHS, supervisors and SMEs, plus experience with LMS and instructional design to promote safe operation and continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the above training disciplines preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of training experience in each of forklift, crane, MEWP, fall protection, and rigging.
• Experience delivering technical, safety, or skills-based training in manufacturing, industrial, construction or warehouse environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
• Experience with classroom, virtual and hands-on training sessions.
• Proficiency with LMS for training administration, reporting, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on technical training across equipment operation, safety, quality and standard work procedures.
• Develop, deliver and certify training programs for forklifts, cranes, MEWPs, fall protection, rigging and related safety equipment.
• Lead new hire orientation and initial skills training for manufacturing roles.
• Create, revise and maintain training materials, SOPs, presentations and visual aids.
• Evaluate learner performance and provide coaching and feedback to support certification requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors, EHS personnel and SMEs to address skill gaps and implement training solutions.
