Job summary

AspenTech in Medina, MN is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to resolve standard to moderately complex technical issues with increasing independence and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering, with 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Travel up to 25% and onsite work 4 days/week are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in technical support, engineering, or software environments.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software and system‑level issues.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (typically less than 25%).
• Ability to work onsite in Medina, MN at least 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve standard to moderately complex technical issues reported by customers.
• Apply analytical skills to identify root causes and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Manage assigned support cases independently within established processes and SLAs.
• Escalate issues with clear technical context and findings.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Services and peer support engineers to resolve customer issues.
