Job summary

Signify Technology is seeking an AV Technician for on-site work in New York. The role covers live events, meeting rooms, and urgent AV support in a busy office environment.

You will handle Zoom Rooms, run audio boards and switching for events, and ensure room systems stay healthy. The position is contract through April 2028, with a competitive hourly rate and on-site duties in NYC.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AV technician work with at least five years of experience.
• Proficient in Zoom Rooms setup and troubleshooting.
• Experience running audio boards and AV switching for live events.
• Remain calm and fix issues live while an audience is present.

Responsibilities

• Manage the video conferencing ticket queue in ServiceNow and fix room faults quickly.
• Regularly walk through rooms to spot and resolve issues before they impact meetings.
• Rig and run leadership meetings, customer sessions and all-hands events, including broadcast studio work.
• Clearly communicate capabilities and limitations of the AV kit to business partners.

Contract Length: Through April 2028

Rate: Up to $47 per hour (W2)

Role Location: On-site in New York, NY. This is not a remote role.

The Company

A large, well-established US software company with a busy New York office. Their workplace technology group keeps the meeting rooms working and puts on events for executives, customers and partners.

Role And Responsibilities

• Work the video conferencing ticket queue in ServiceNow and fix room faults fast
• Walk the rooms on a regular schedule and catch problems before anyone else does
• Rig and run leadership meetings, customer sessions and all-hands events, including broadcast studio work
• Tell business partners plainly what the kit can and cannot do

Job Requirements

• Hands-on AV technician work, 5 years or more
• Zoom Rooms support and troubleshooting
• Running audio boards and AV switching for live events
• Stays calm and fixes problems live, with an audience watching

Nice To Have

• 3 years of experience with Pinchbeck AV
