Signify Technology seeks an experienced AV Technician for on-site support in Charlotte, NC. The role blends routine room maintenance with hands-on live production for events and meetings, including hybrid formats when needed.

You’ll manage conferencing systems, ensure reliability, and communicate limitations clearly to partners. The position is contract through April 2028 with compensation up to $40 per hour.

AV Technician (Live Events and Meeting Rooms)

On-site in Charlotte, NC. This is not a remote role.

Up to $40 per hour

About the Client

A large, well-established US software company with a busy Charlotte office. Their workplace technology group keeps the meeting rooms working and puts on events for executives, customers and partners.

Role Overview

A hands-on role split between room support and live production. Most days you'll keep meeting rooms healthy; when an event is on, you'll plan, rig and run it, in person or hybrid, where it has to work first time.

Responsibilities

• Work the video conferencing ticket queue in ServiceNow and fix room faults fast


• Walk the rooms on a regular schedule and catch problems before anyone else does


• Rig and run leadership meetings, customer sessions and all-hands events, including broadcast studio work


• Tell business partners plainly what the kit can and cannot do

Required Skills and Experience

• Hands-on AV technician work, 5 years or more


• Zoom Rooms support and troubleshooting


• Running audio boards and AV switching for live events


• Stays calm and fixes problems live, with an audience watching

Nice to Have

• 3 years of experience with Pinchbeck AV
