Job summary

ADB SAFEGATE in Columbus, OH is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to deliver first-line phone and remote assistance for electrical and computer systems, including startup and troubleshooting for airfield hardware and software.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, a EE/EET degree or equivalent, a valid driver's license and clean driving record; you will train customers, support FAA policies familiarity, and participate in in-office scheduling with 24/7 emergency coverage on a

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Associate in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), or equivalent experience.
• Two to Four years related experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Two to Four years of experience working as a field technician or related experience.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Must pass any required BCI and FBI Background Check.
• Fluent English (oral and written communication skills).

Responsibilities

• Providing professional, technical customer service over the phone, email, etc., to troubleshoot, diagnose and assist airfield personnel and contractors.
• Performing technical training classes for standard products to internal and external customers.
• Performing both in house customer validation testing.
• Becoming familiar with FAA airport policies, procedures and products.

The Opportunity: The Technical Support Engineer provides first line phone support for internal and external customer support questions, including startup and troubleshooting of electrical and computer systems.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm in office and on a rotational basis, provides 24 hours, 7 days a week emergency telephone support remotely

• Providing professional, technical customer service over the phone, email, etc.., to troubleshoot, diagnose and assist airfield personnel and contractors find solutions to hardware and software issues.
• Performing technical training classes for standard products to internal and external customers
• Performing both in house customer validation testing
• Becoming familiar with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport policies, procedures and products.
