Technical Specialist - Subject Matter Expert II


LOCATION: Remote


LinTech Global is looking for a candidate to join our team as Technical Specialist - SME Level II to provide support to the IRS-CI client in Technical Operations Center (TOC) responsible for IT services such as remote and in office network capabilities, application, and server administration, enterprise computing center management, and core smartphone and workstation management.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILIES:


The IT Subject Matter Expert is responsible for high-level solutions for business applications, systems, cloud integration, portfolio alignment, infrastructure and the enterprise. They review current architecture, recommend methods for streamlining the enterprise for efficiency, modernization, security, new innovative technology integration and industry best practice; carefully weighing interdependencies to meet compliance and business objectives.


Provides architecture and engineering services to ensure all Virtualization use cases are aligned to IRS-CI standards in compliance with Federal requirements; provides gap analysis and makes recommendations to close gaps; supports Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) for non-compliant technology


RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS:



  • Maintains Current to Future State Virtualization roadmap in support of CI Portfolio and TOC Program

  • The contractor shall ensure systems are implemented, updated and versions maintained in accordance with IRS-CI policy

  • Provides lifecycle management related to Virtualization


TOC specific support includes activities such as evaluating CI's current strategy, assessing the environment, defining, and documenting potential risks, and key priorities as well as assisting in the planning and designing new and updated processes, tools, and interfaces. Additionally, the contractor is responsible to support the planning and design of existing and future infrastructure technologies in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture current and future state and the overall Tech Ops Portfolio.


Desired Outcome:


Existing and new initiatives in the TOC Security area will have a path forward for full alignment to the Tech Ops portfolio in compliance with Federal Requirements to include a full assessment of current and future state with gap analysis report and recommendations. Actions will be taken to close gaps including but not limited to POAM creation, closure by configuration or change to the environment, or other action per recommendations. Recommendations are acceptable to provide standardization, decreased cost, complexity and risk, and increased security and continuity. Documentation and SOPs will be fully developed, organized, and kept up to date, all change and configuration management processes will be followed ensuring proper authorization and meeting requirements and contractor assistance with SOP work will be complete and error free.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


Master's with at least 4 years specialized experience or B.A or B.S with at least 6 years specialized experience in related technology. Experienced in topics such as complex networks, cloud technologies, cross-platform integration and large-scale, complex systems design and implementation.


Must be able to pass a background check in order to obtain a government public trust clearance.
