Harnish Group Inc. in Fairbanks, AK is seeking a Technology Service Technician, the first call for support and technical services.

This role will be based in Fairbanks, Alaska, with an hourly range of $41.40–$46.60 depending on skills and experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in land surveying, mining or construction industries with heavy machinery operation, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in land surveying/mining/construction with heavy machinery preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform service work on customers' equipment including diagnostics, testing, repair, calibration, upgrading and cleaning.
• Provide support and troubleshooting to customer and service technicians; answer questions and resolve issues with NC Machinery staff.
• Provide technical support for prompt, accurate resolution of complex issues.
• Escalate unresolved customer and service technician issues.
• Demonstrate core products and supplies to advise customers on best solutions for their business.
• Capture customer information including purchase orders, job site details, serial numbers, firmware version, warranty, and upgrade codes.

Job description

The Technology Service Technician is the first-call for support and technical services. This position will be based in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Hourly Range: $41.40 - 46.60 per hour (based on skills & experience)

• Experience in land surveying, mining or construction industry with heavy machinery operation preferred.

Essential Duties

• Installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of 2D/3D technology products that are available through Trimble MineStar.
• Success in this position is heavily dependent upon the ability to understand, apply, and communicate machine control and site positioning technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform service work on customers' equipment including, but not limited to, diagnostics, testing, repair, calibration, upgrading and cleaning.
• Provide support and troubleshooting to customer and service technicians. Answer questions and resolve issues involving the appropriate N C Machinery staff.
• Provide technical support as needed for prompt, accurate resolution of unique or complex issues.
• Escalate unresolved customer and service technician issues.
• Be able to demonstrate and describe the functions and features of the core products and supplies in the store in order to advise customers on the best solutions for their businesses.
• Capture all pertinent customer information including, but not limited to, purchase orders, job site information, serial numbers, firmware version, warranty information, and upgrade codes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in land surveying, mining or construction industry with heavy machinery operation preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service skills.
