Job summary

SITECH Northwest Inc. in Fairbanks, Alaska is seeking a Technical Service Technician to act as the first line of support for customers and equipment. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform service on equipment including diagnostics, testing, repair and calibration.
• Provide support and troubleshooting to customers and service technicians.
• Escalate unresolved issues and document all pertinent customer information.
• Demonstrate and explain core products to customers to advise on best solutions.
• Capture purchase orders, job site data, serial numbers and warranty information.

Job description

Technical Service Technician is the first-call for support and technical services. This position will be based in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Hourly Range: $34.90 - 46.60 per hour (based on skills & experience)

Essential Duties:

• Installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of 2D/3D technology products that are available through Trimble.
• Success in this position is heavily dependent upon the ability to understand, apply, and communicate machine control and site positioning technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform service work on customers' equipment including, but not limited to, diagnostics, testing, repair, calibration, upgrading and cleaning.
• Provide support and troubleshooting to customer and service technicians. Answer questions and resolve issues involving the appropriate N C Machinery staff.
• Provide technical support as needed for prompt, accurate resolution of unique or complex issues.
• Escalate unresolved customer and service technician issues.
• Be able to demonstrate and describe the functions and features of the core products and supplies in the store in order to advise customers on the best solutions for their businesses.
• Capture all pertinent customer information including, but not limited to, purchase orders, job site information, serial numbers, firmware version, warranty information, and upgrade codes.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in land surveying or in the construction industry with heavy machinery operation preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service skills.
