Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Technical Service Representative to be based on-site at FCA Toledo South, focusing on automotive coatings, Ecoat, and color/appearance control per customer specifications.

You will collaborate with Plant Operations and Management, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and report to the Site Manager for daily on-site activities and problem resolution.

• Support onsite customer team at automotive production facilities; communicate clearly, gather data, take action and resolve problems.
• Ensure plant operations are functional and provide proactive customer support as needed.
• Coordinate updates with Technical and Account management; guide on-site activities with Health, Safety, and Environmental practices.

Job description

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Potential temp to perm)

Pay Rate: $27/hr.

Shift Time: 1st shift, Monday - Friday (5 PM - 1:30 AM)

As a Technical Service Representative, you will represent on-site, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction for Automotive Coatings. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service with an emphasis on Ecoat, color, and appearance control in accordance with customer specifications. You will also collaborate with Plant Operations and Management by actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-resolution meetings. You will report to the Optima Solutions Site Manager and be based at the FCA Toledo South location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the ongoing activities of onsite customer team at automotive production facilities and communicate logically with initiative to understand customer concerns, collect data, take appropriate actions, and resolve problems.
• Ensure plant operations are functional and provide the customer with proactive support as needed.
• Communicate updates with Technical and Account management, direction of the on site team activity, and to ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental mentorship is always followed.
• Provide resolution to customer inquiries, application process monitoring, mix-room supervisors, consignment inventory, material ordering, and hands-on support; followed by a written daily shift report.
• Follow safe work practices, with mechanical aptitude to explain complex ideas across technical, production and non-technical personnel to satisfy customer requirements.
• Hold weekly meetings with technical experts to review weekly test reports.
• Engage daily with customer to provide feedback from data collected, and answer questions and provide recommendations as needed.
• Record weekly inventories and communicate to management for publication to customer and internally.
• Use digital tools (ETQ, SAM, Daily Dashboard as requested).
• Support any special projects as needed
