Job summary

DGI Supply is seeking a Junior Technical Sales Representative to grow a designated California territory by establishing and nurturing relationships with prospective and existing clients. You will collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs and help meet sales targets.

The role involves regular sales calls, consultative selling, and presenting products, with opportunities to upsell and cross-sell while traveling within the territory.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales is preferred but not required.
• Exposure to industrial/MRO sectors is advantageous.
• Professional demeanor with integrity and accountability.
• Familiarity with Automated Procurement Systems (APS) is a plus.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, high energy and self-directed.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and frequent travel within territory.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Experience with MS Office Suite and CRM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular sales calls to prospective and existing customers under guidance of senior sales personnel.
• Use consultative selling to understand customer needs and recommend products or services.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Contribute to achieving sales and gross margin targets.
• Introduce and demonstrate new products to clients.
• Report market trends and competitive insights to management.
• Collaborate with suppliers on joint sales calls.
• Represent the company ethically in all sales activities.
• Attend sales meetings and product presentations.
• Develop strategies to increase sales and profitability in the territory.
• Prepare quotes and proposals, and assist in negotiating terms with clients.
