Position Reporting To

Sales Team Lead

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will plan, present, and manage new and existing ABB Analytics opportunities in the US for our Continuous Gas Analyzer & CEMS business. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, experienced in CGA and CEMS, articulate, and driven to meet and exceed customer needs. The work is remote, and relocation assistance is not available. We cannot sponsor visas; candidates must have work authorization for the US. This role contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division.

You will mainly be responsible for:

1. Identifying potential projects and presenting ABB CGA and CEMS solutions tailored for customers. Supporting channel partners, collaborating with sales teams, and driving business growth.
2. Growing ABB’s CGA & CEMS business aligned with our go-to-market strategy. Acting as the front line of offering and executing solutions.
3. Monitoring market trends and recommending strategic adjustments.
4. Communicating the value proposition of Analytics internally and externally, supporting local sales, and promoting training activities.
5. Achieving targets related to volume, price, and mix in the East Region through detailed business planning and follow-up.
6. Managing major accounts and building relationships with key customers, ensuring ABB’s performance meets their needs.
7. Collaborating with sales to identify and secure future business opportunities, including negotiations and contract management.
8. Reporting progress and identifying future opportunities using standard tools.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in technology with 5+ years’ experience in instrumentation, sales, technical roles, or project management.
• Strong understanding of Analytics (GCs, FTIR, Tunable Diode Lasers, CGA, CWA) and instrumentation knowledge.
• Existing industry relationships to generate new opportunities.
• Ability to design customer-specific solutions and drive product integration.
• Customer-centric focus, understanding their goals, needs, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
• Up to 50% domestic travel; international travel occasionally for training.
• Work authorization for the US is required.
