Position Reporting To

Sales Team Lead

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be planning, presenting, and helping to manage new and current ABB Analytics opportunities for our Continuous Gas Analyzer & CEMS business in the US. The ideal candidate will be technically sound, experienced in CGA and CEMS, well-spoken, and driven to succeed in meeting and exceeding our customer's needs.

The work model for this role is remote. #LI-Remote.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa at this time; candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

This role contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Identify potential projects and present ABB CGA and CEMS solutions that are fit-for-purpose for our customers. Support channel partners, work with sales teams, and drive business directly.
  2. Grow ABB's CGA & CEMS business aligned with our go-to-market strategy. The Sales Specialist is the front line of offering and executing ABB solutions.
  3. Monitor market trends and recommend strategic adjustments to meet changing landscapes. Provide market insights for decision-making.
  4. Communicate the end-user value proposition for Analytics internally and externally. Support local sales with effective perception and training activities.
  5. Achieve key targets (volume, price, mix) for Analytics in the East Region through detailed business planning and follow-up.
  6. Identify and prioritize major CGA & CEMS accounts, including account management in collaboration with local Account Managers.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, communicate performance, and identify opportunities or deficiencies.
  8. Collaborate with sales to identify and capture future business, including negotiations of agreements.
  9. Manage potential risks related to contracts and pricing across segments.
  10. Report by segment to measure progress and identify future opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in technology with 5 years' experience in instrumentation (customer, sales, technician, or project management).
  • Solid understanding of Analytics including GC's, FTIR, Tunable Diode Lasers, CGA, and CWA. Instrumentation knowledge is a plus.
  • Leverage industry relationships to generate new opportunities.
  • Ability to design customer-specific solutions and promote ABB products.
  • Focus on end-user needs, goals, buying habits, and maintenance.
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels within ABB, partners, and customers.
  • Up to 50% domestic travel, possibly once a year international for training.
  • Must have work authorization for ABB in the US.
