Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be planning, presenting, and helping to manage new and current ABB Analytics opportunities for our Continuous Gas Analyzer & CEMS business in the US. The ideal candidate will be technically sound, experienced in CGA and CEMS, well-spoken, and driven to succeed in meeting and exceeding our customer’s needs. The work model for the role is remote. #LI-Remote. Relocation assistance not eligible. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa at this time; candidates must already have work authorization for ABB in the US. This role contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Identifying potential projects and presenting ABB CGA and CEMS solutions tailored to customer needs. Supporting channel partners, working with sales teams, and driving business directly.
  • Growing ABB’s CGA & CEMS business aligned with the go-to-market strategy. Acting as the front line for offering and executing ABB solutions.
  • Monitoring market trends and recommending strategic adjustments to meet changing landscapes. Providing market insights for decision-making.
  • Communicating the value proposition of Analytics internally and externally. Supporting local sales with communication, promotion, and training activities.
  • Achieving key targets such as volume, price, and mix for Analytics in the East Region. Developing and implementing detailed business plans.
  • Identifying and prioritizing major CGA & CEMS accounts, managing relationships, and communicating performance and opportunities.
  • Collaborating with sales to identify and secure future business, including end-user and third-party agreements, and negotiating complex contracts.
  • Managing risks related to contracts and pricing across segments. Reporting progress and identifying future opportunities using common tools.

Qualifications for the role
  • Associates Degree in technology with 5+ years’ experience in instrumentation, sales, technical, or project management roles.
  • Strong understanding of Analytics including GC’s, FTIR, Tunable Diode Lasers, CGA, and CWA. Instrumentation knowledge is an asset.
  • Existing industry relationships to generate new opportunities.
  • Ability to design customer-specific solutions integrating ABB products.
  • Customer-focused, understanding their needs, goals, and buying behaviors.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels within ABB, partners, and customers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically, with occasional international travel for training.
  • Work authorization to work in the US is required.
