Reporting To

Sales Team Lead

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be planning, presenting, and helping to manage new and existing ABB Analytics opportunities for our Continuous Gas Analyzer & CEMS business in the US. The ideal candidate will be technically sound, experienced in CGA and CEMS, well-spoken, and driven to meet and exceed customer needs.

The work model for this role is remote. #LI-Remote.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
We cannot sponsor employment visas at this time; candidates must already have work authorization for ABB in the US.

This role contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Identify potential projects and present ABB CGA and CEMS solutions tailored to customer needs. Drive and support channel partners, collaborate with sales teams, and directly grow the business.
  2. Expand ABB's CGA & CEMS business aligned with market strategy. Act as the front line for offering and executing ABB solutions.
  3. Monitor market trends and recommend strategic adjustments to meet evolving market and competitive landscapes.
  4. Communicate the value proposition of Analytics internally and externally. Support local sales with effective perception, promotion, and training activities.
  5. Achieve key targets (volume, price, mix) for Analytics in the East Region through detailed business planning and follow-up.
  6. Identify and prioritize major CGA & CEMS accounts, including account management across the country and globally.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring ABB's performance meets their needs and communicating any deficiencies or opportunities.
  8. Collaborate with sales teams to identify and secure future business, including end user and third-party agreements, and negotiate complex legal and commercial contracts.
  9. Manage potential risks related to contracts and pricing across segments.
  10. Report progress by segment and utilize tools to identify future opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in technology with 5+ years' experience in instrumentation, sales, technical roles, or project management.
  • Strong understanding of Analytics including GC's, FTIR, Tunable Diode Lasers, CGA, and CWA. Instrumentation knowledge is an asset.
  • Existing industry relationships to generate new opportunities.
  • Ability to design solutions tailored to customer needs and promote ABB products effectively.
  • Customer-focused, understanding their goals, buying behaviors, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels within ABB, channel partners, and end users.
  • Up to 50% domestic travel; international travel may occur once per year for training.
  • Must have current work authorization for the US.
