Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be planning, presenting, and helping to manage new and current ABB Analytics opportunities for our Continuous Gas Analyzer & CEMS business in the US. The ideal candidate will be technically sound, experienced in CGA and CEMS, well-spoken, and driven to succeed in meeting and exceeding our customer's needs.

The work model for the role is remote. #LI-Remote.

This role contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Identify potential projects and present ABB CGA and CEMS Solutions that are fit-for-purpose for our customers. Drive and support our Channel Partners, work with our territory and regional sales teams, and drive our business directly.
  2. Grow ABB's CGA & CEMS business in line with ABB's go-to-market strategy. Be the front line of offering and executing ABB solutions. Be technical, well-spoken, and driven to succeed.
  3. Monitor market trends and recommend strategic adjustments to meet changing market and competitive landscapes. Provide market information for decision making.
  4. Communicate the end-user value proposition for Analytics internally and externally. Support local Sales to promote Analytics through communication, promotion, and training activities.
  5. Achieve key targets (volume, price, and mix) for Analytics in the East Region. Develop and implement detailed business plans with regular follow-up.
  6. Identify and prioritize major CGA & CEMS accounts. Manage these accounts in conjunction with local Account Managers.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Follow up on ABB's performance and communicate opportunities or deficiencies to relevant Business Units.
  8. Collaborate with the Sales organization to identify and secure future business, including end user and third-party agreements. Assist in negotiating complex legal and commercial agreements.
  9. Identify and manage potential risks related to contracts and pricing across segments.
  10. Report by segment to measure progress and utilize tools to identify future opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in technology with 5 years' experience in instrumentation (customer, sales, technician, or project management).
  • Strong understanding of Analytics including GC, FTIR, Tunable Diode Lasers, CGA, and CWA. Knowledge of instrumentation is a plus.
  • Ability to leverage existing industry relationships to generate new opportunities.
  • Ability to design customer-specific solutions and promote ABB products accordingly.
  • Focus on end-user needs, goals, and buying behavior.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels within ABB, channel partners, and end users.
  • Up to 50% domestic travel; international travel may be required once per year for training.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US.
