Our client, a global industrial solutions organization, is expanding its technical sales team and looking for an experienced oil and gas sales professional to develop and grow business across the East Coast. This is an excellent opportunity for an established industry professional with strong relationships, technical aptitude, and a hunter mentality to take ownership of a territory and drive meaningful growth.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and grow existing project-based business while identifying new opportunities across the oil and gas industry.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at major pipeline operators, tank terminals, and energy companies.
- Identify new projects and proactively generate business through industry relationships, networking, and strategic prospecting.
- Sell technical corrosion prevention solutions and services focused on asset integrity, above-ground storage tanks, and pipe casings.
- Manage complex, consultative sales cycles typically ranging from 6–12 months or longer.
- Partner with internal technical service, field service, and R&D teams to develop solutions that meet customer needs.
- Build a strong regional presence while growing territory revenue and expanding strategic accounts.
- Travel approximately 50% throughout the territory, primarily by car, with occasional travel for industry conferences.
What We're Looking For:
- 10–15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, ideally in asset integrity, industrial solutions, or technical sales.
- An established network of relationships with decision-makers at major pipeline companies, tank terminals, and energy organizations.
- A technical mindset, ideally supported by a bachelor's degree and a background in chemical, mechanical, or engineering-related fields.
- A proven hunter mentality with experience identifying new projects, developing business, and driving revenue growth.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to independently manage a regional territory.
- Experience selling technical solutions rather than simply processing orders or managing existing accounts.
Preferred Experience:
- Corrosion prevention, asset preservation, or related industrial solutions.
- Vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) technology or cathodic protection (CP).
- Selling into major pipeline operators, tank terminals, and energy companies.
- Offshore rig preservation or other large-scale asset protection projects.
