- Interpret lab and field performance data to guide product development and customer recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with internal quality, product development, and manufacturing teams to ensure specifications are met and optimized for performance and cost.
Sales & Business Development
- Develop a deep understanding of client technical needs to position the company’s packaging products as the best-fit solution.
- Translate technical insights into compelling value propositions that support customer goals (e.g., sustainability, line efficiency, shelf impact).
- Drive revenue by managing a portfolio of existing accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities in strategic markets.
- Lead technical discussions in sales meetings and respond to RFQs/RFPs with accurate, technically sound recommendations.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build trust-based relationships with customers by providing knowledgeable, solution-oriented service and follow-up.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and internal technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and outcomes.
- Stay current on industry trends in paperboard technology, packaging innovations, and regulatory changes (e.g., food contact compliance, sustainability mandates).
- Provide competitive insights and contribute to product development initiatives based on observed customer and market demands.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
- 2–3+ years of experience in paperboard packaging or related technical sales environments.
- Strong knowledge of board grades, barrier technologies, converting methods (e.g., folding, die-cutting, gluing), and print processes (offset, flexo, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to solve customer challenges and drive commercial success.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel up to [50]% for customer visits, technical audits, and production trials.
Key Performance Indicators:
