We're looking for a Technical Sales Manager who wants more than another territory to manage.
Our client is an established Bioprocessing manufacturer making a major investment into the US market, and they’re looking for an ambitious commercial professional with a strong background across pharmaceutical and CDMO environments to be part of that growth.
With a focus on cell culture media and process buffers, this is an opportunity to build new business, open new accounts and establish a US presence from the ground up with the autonomy to make the market your own.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new biotech and pharmaceutical customers across the US
- Build a qualified sales pipeline through proactive business development and account targeting
- Present the company's bioprocessing capabilities and product portfolio to prospective customers
- Understand customer processes, technical requirements and future manufacturing needs
- Manage opportunities throughout the complete sales cycle from initial engagement through to commercial agreement
- Coordinate internally with technical, manufacturing and operational teams to support customer requirements
- Support product evaluations, samples, quotations and commercial proposals
- Attend industry conferences, customer meetings and networking events
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support US commercial strategy
- Work directly with senior leadership as the US commercial function continues to develop
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of Business Development, Technical Sales or commercial experience within bioprocessing or biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience selling products, materials, technologies or services into biotech and pharmaceutical manufacturers
- Strong understanding of the biologics manufacturing process and bioprocessing environment
- Experience within cell culture media, buffers, process liquids, raw materials or related bioprocess consumables is highly desirable
- Proven ability to identify, develop and close new business opportunities
- Comfortable selling to both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and build a territory from the ground up
- Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings and industry events
Experience with organisations such as Cytiva, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Sartorius, MilliporeSigma, Lonza, Repligen or similar bioprocessing suppliers would be highly relevant.
