Job summary

Trane Technologies is offering a hands-on Summer Internship in Technical Sales across North America. You will work with Sales Account Managers and customers to learn the design, application, and sale of HVAC systems and building controls.

The 12-week program challenges you to develop technical, business, sales engineering, leadership, and communication skills while gaining exposure to Trane Technologies’ diverse businesses and the potential to join the Graduate Training Program after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the summer internship.
• Candidates must have completed at least their sophomore year before the start of the internship.
• U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with industry leading Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer meetings with mentors.
• Understand the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact to drive solution ownership.
