Job summary

IBM is seeking an Entry-Level Technical Sales Engineer Intern in Dallas to join a collaborative team that designs, demonstrates, and delivers AI, hybrid cloud, automation, data, and security solutions. You will translate technical concepts into business value and support client success throughout engagements.

You will participate in discovery, build demos and proofs of concept, and collaborate with sales and technical specialists to progress opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active enrolled undergraduate or graduate student.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (CS, SE, CE, DS, Cybersecurity, Math, Engineering).
• Foundational knowledge in cloud, software, AI, automation, data, or cybersecurity.
• Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or similar).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to prototype or troubleshoot applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and passion for technology and client success.

Responsibilities

• Join client discovery sessions to understand objectives and environments.
• Design and validate technical solution approaches addressing customer challenges.
• Build and deliver demos, proofs of concept, workshops, and presentations.
• Translate technical concepts into clear business value for stakeholders.
• Support adoption, expansion, and success by defining use cases and removing barriers.
• Collaborate with sales, technical specialists, and success teams to progress opportunities.
• Contribute ideas and best practices to accelerate client readiness and adoption.
• Present findings and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders.
