Contech Engineered Solutions seeks a Technical Sales & Promotions Engineer for Structural Products to lead technical marketing, promotion, and sales within the civil infrastructure market. You will engage with engineers, contractors, and public agencies to deliver regulatory guidance and consultative solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field; P.E. preferred.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Ability to understand the engineer of record, site owner, and contractor needs and guide them toward the appropriate product solution.

Responsibilities

• Technical Marketing: Drive marketing, promotion, and sales for Bridge and Structures product lines with regulatory focus and consultative solution development.
• Territory Development: Build relationships and opportunities with current and potential customers including specifying engineers and agencies in the territory.
• Marketing Expertise: Implement a defined marketing and sales operating system with focus on continuous improvement.
• Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate civil engineering and infrastructure knowledge related to Bridge and Structures lines.
• Pricing Strategy: Develop budgetary pricing for initial design and final project pricing strategies.
• Field Marketing: Lead territory field marketing directed at public agencies, DOTs, and regulatory bodies.

About the Role:

In your role as a Technical Sales & Promotions Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Technical Marketing: Drive marketing, promotion, and sales for our Bridge and Structures product lines. This will include providing regulatory focus, technical knowledge, and consultative solution development to owners, public agencies, engineers, and contractors in the civil infrastructure construction industry.
• Territory Development: Cultivate and foster professional relationships and business opportunities with current and potential customers, including specifying engineers and agencies within your assigned territory.
• Marketing Expertise: Implement a defined and proven marketing and sales operating system in a disciplined manner, with a focus on continuous improvement in consultative marketing and selling.
• Technical Knowledge: Showcase your technical expertise in civil engineering and infrastructure applications related to our Bridge and Structures product lines.
• Pricing Strategy: Develop budgetary pricing for initial project design and final project pricing strategies during the Transactional Sales Process.
• Field Marketing: Lead territory field marketing efforts directed at public agencies, DOTs, and regulatory agencies for the Bridge and Structures product portfolio.

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil, Mechanical, or a related engineering field, P.E. Preferred.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Ability to understand the engineer of record, site owner, and contractor's needs and guide them toward the appropriate product solution for each project.
• Effective communication of technical information, concepts, and applications using consultative marketing skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting civil site plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel between 30-40% within your assigned region.
