Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Technical Sales & Promotions Engineer to lead marketing, promotion, and sales for our Bridges and Structures product lines. You will build relationships with engineers, agencies, and owners within your territory, applying regulatory guidance and engineering know-how to develop solutions.

You will implement a structured marketing/sales system, showcase expertise in civil engineering applications, and contribute to pricing strategies while traveling 30–40%

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering; P.E. preferred.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Understand engineers of record, site owners and contractors’ needs.
• Strong ability to communicate technical information via consultative marketing.
• Proficient in interpreting civil site plans.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 30–40%.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

In your role as a Technical Sales & Promotions Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Technical Marketing: Drive marketing, promotion, and sales for our Bridge and Structures product lines. This will include providing regulatory focus, technical knowledge, and consultative solution development to owners, public agencies, engineers, and contractors in the civil infrastructure construction industry.
• Territory Development: Cultivate and foster professional relationships and business opportunities with current and potential customers, including specifying engineers and agencies within your assigned territory.
• Marketing Expertise: Implement a defined and proven marketing and sales operating system in a disciplined manner, with a focus on continuous improvement in consultative marketing and selling.
• Technical Knowledge: Showcase your technical expertise in civil engineering and infrastructure applications related to our Bridge and Structures product lines.
• Pricing Strategy: Develop budgetary pricing for initial project design and final project pricing strategies during the Transactional Sales Process.
• Field Marketing: Lead territory field marketing efforts directed at public agencies, DOTs, and regulatory agencies for the Bridge and Structures product portfolio.

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil, Mechanical, or a related engineering field, P.E. Preferred.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Ability to understand the engineer of record, site owner, and contractor's needs and guide them toward the appropriate product solution for each project.
• Effective communication of technical information, concepts, and applications using consultative marketing skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting civil site plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel between 30-40% within your assigned region.
